Wijnhuis

De wijnbouw in Chili is gestart door Spaanse kolonisten. Toch ziet men een Franse invloed. De wijn wordt vooral van typische Franse druivenrassen gemaakt. De druivenstokken zijn hier nog authentiek en staan niet, zoals in bijna alle andere wijngebieden, op Amerikaanse onderstammen. Het wijnhuis Apatamas is gelegen in het centrale gedeelte van de Chileense Vallei, aan de voet van de Andes. Hier staan de druiven, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz en de Carmenère.

Wijnomschrijving

De druiven worden geoogst wanneer ze net rijp zijn. Fermentatie gedurende 10 dagen bij een gecontroleerde temperatuur van 30 ° C gevolgd door een lichte persing. De wijn wordt gerijpt in roestvrijstalen vaten. Gevarieerd over het hele producerende gebied, zijn er zandige klei-kalkachtige en stenige gronden.
